As we reported last week, the Finnish Wildlife Agency tried to circumvent a court order against a wolf hunt by issuing a new permit for the same area and the same pack, giving other grounds for the second permit than for the first one.

After complaints from conservation societies, the district administrative court for the Häme district also stopped this hunt by granting an injunction. Conservationists welcomed the court's decision and are now considering criminal charges against the responsible agents.
